What part of this is tripping you up? YOu probably have to do the same with the clock. If not, use a multimeter. Or you can wait another three months to tell the time.
Next oh good the hazard switch is the exact same plug but upon trial you will find out turning on your new hazard switch freaks out the car and powers up the ignition, you could skip the trial and just know that you have to cut and spice the new connector in or re-pin the plug, the wire colors are an exact match just in different locations in the plug.

Wow! And you don't think it would have been prudent to mention this 3 months ago? Regardless, the wires are the SAME COLORS!!! Match them up! If you don't trust that guys explanation then you need to take the time and use the proper tools; AKA a multimeter. You said nothing of this in your first post and said you found NOTHING. You could have checked it by now.
