V-AFC Wiring Diagram for 1995 Accord EX 4-Cyl
I bought a used VAFC and I need the CORRECT wiring diagram for the VAFC. Does anyone have their setup that they are using and knows works correct??
Thanks.
Thanks.
Have you tried accessing the Apexi website? They may have an online tech section that illustrates the correct wiring diagram for your car. I know Greddy has a section in their website where you can look at wiring diagrams for all of their electrical products. If by chance I come across one though, I'll post it. Good luck!
The apexi diagrams are wrong. I used my service manual and it worked out great.
PM me and I'll send you the wiring for an F22b1.

niedejb - I PM'd you. Thanks!
Also, I couldn't seem to get to Apex'i's US site - everything was in funny writing.
Also, when I searched about this topic - some people hooked up the VTEC part of it and others did not (let the ECU control it). I would like to have all of the features of the VAFC hooked up, but if it means that I have to program it all funky - then I'll let the ECU do the VTEC work. Comments??

I wired mine up and have everything functional.
This tool MUST be dyno tuned to make any gains. Do yourself a favor and tune it before posting questions on hesitations/ power losses/ vtec engagement.
OK - I got everything hooked up. It seems to work great, BUT I lost VTEC in the upper power band. It feels like an LX - haha. I did not hook up the VTM (blue wire on the VAFC).
Also, niedejb - I couldn't match up some of your wires that you sent me in the e-mail. I didn't hook any of the wires up to the middle (little) plug because none of the colors matched up... I think you are using the H7-a diagram and I am using the H2-a. You have OBDII and I have OBDI. The colors matched up well, but the locations were almost all wrong.
IDEAS?!?!?! Someone with a 94-95 pull out your ECU and tell us how you have the V-AFC wired. I have a "how-to" write up done, but I want to make sure this is right first!
Thanks.

Yeah - I think I realized that once I looked at the wiring again. I hooked the VTM wire to the car side (causing a check engine) and I should of hooked it to the ECU side. I'm going to hook that up tonight and see how it goes.
I got it working!! It's sweet to have VTEC back. I've got the low >> high at 3,500 and the high >> low set to 3,200. What other things should I set until I get to the dyno next week??
Thanks.
Thanks.
