Civic 03 HID HELP!
Hey all I've been searching the net doing research on my problem but I think its about time to ask for opinions as I'm ready to make a purchase.
Here's my situation:
I am the owner of a 2003 honda civic lx. A year ago, I had a HID kit installed on my car hoping to make the road more visible. The place I had it done installed a 8000K kit right into the stock (reflector) headlights. I lost my high beam and only had low beam. Not long after, I noticed that though the lights appeared bright from outside the car, when when behind the wheel, I wasn't able to see much at ALL. My headlights lit up the sides of the road and all the highway signs but I couldn't see anything directly in front of me.
After doing some research, I've noticed people talking about projector headlights and retrofitting. I don't have money for retro fitting as it appears to be expensive. I just want my headlights to be bright and to light up the road! I also learned that 4300K is what I should be getting for "optimal brightness" as the 8000K "iceberg" look doesn't do much to light up the road.
Here's where I need help/suggestions. I looked on ebay and amazon for projector headlights and HID kits but I'm somewhat hesitant to make a purchase as I feel like I'm gonna be stuck with worthless products, again.
I would greatly appreciate it if anybody would be willing to link me or message me any suggestions as to which projector headlights I should get / along / with a HID kit that has hi+low beam that would emit the most light. My budget is 300-400 bucks... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the long post - just wanted to provide as much information as I could.
THANKS AGAIN!!

I suggest you save up some more money, maybe about $300 more, and go through the retro-fitting process. Get creative and original with it, and you'll have a very high quality product in the end... Those ebay projector headlights are cheap quality and I've not hear that many good review about them, to be honest...

They have the quality parts that you'd be looking for and the knowledge to answer any questions you might have about putting together your own set.

like stated above do a retrofit.. dont do a premade projector headlight.. most of the time those have worse output than stock.. the reason you barely see now with the hids you have is because as you go higher in temp, you lose usable light.. your eyes adjust better to the lower temp bulbs(ie whiter, yellower), thats why oem hid setups use 4300k.. the retro will give you better width and distance..
