Quick review of ebay headlights and lip
I got some headlights, fogs, and front a rear lips. Here's a quick review for someone considering buying some. I was gonna lift my car a little today and decided to throw the lip and headlights on while I was at the shop.
Lips
Front was was almost perfect. It was about an 1/8th inch too short at the ends but I was able to stretch it and that made it sit nice and flush everywhere. The front part is nice and sharp where it meets the bumper so there are no gaps. The sides are kind of rounded so it looks like there is a gap even though it actually sits flush against the bumper. A little grinding/sanding will fix that later on. Overall I am happy with the lip and I was actually expecting to do a lot more work than I did to make it fit. Just two screws at each end and four on the bottom on those little brackets. I'm not sure if it's mounted in the correct height on the bumper but that looked good to me so I left it.
The rear was crap. Probably an inch too short at the ends. I don't have any pictures of it at the moment. I emailed the seller and he's sending me a different one.
The lips were $65 shipped for both.

Headlights
Note: My car was in an accident a while ago and the previous owner didn't replace all the parts. The only thing on the front end was the bumper hanging on two screws. I fixed it up a little and added the reinforcement in the front. I still need the brackets that hold the bumper under the headlights and a few other parts. The reason I'm telling you this is because if you don't like how these fit on my car, the fit might be better on one that wasn't hit.
I can't tell how these compare to the OEM ones I had because both were loose and had several missing tabs so the fitment was crap.
I'm quite impressed with these. I was expecting bad quality for the price and very poor fitment. I did have to move the fender a bit but that's not a big deal. I didn't do any grinding anywhere for this install. Half an hour with the dremel and these will sit a lot nicer. I just didn't have much time and it's gonna be taken apart again soon for paint. Overall I'm happy with these and the quality is great. Even has a DOT stamp for those you care about that. The light output is great. I had to aim them down a little but once that was adjusted it was way better than my fogged up stock ones. I paid $105 for these plus the OEM style fog lights.

For some reason the right headlight isn't uploading. I'll add that later.
I will add on the fog and rear lip later and post pictures.
And how it looks for now:

thanks for the write up, I was actually looking at getting a spoon knock off for my friends ej1... do you think that you could post up that seller's id so that I can look at his stock since the parts seemed to come in good condition.
Also, how was the shipping time frame did he get them sent out soon after payment and did they arrive timely?
EDIT: Thats a great looking hatch you got there keep it up!

Not sure why the thread got moved but yeah ill post the seller ids when I'm on the computer. Both came if good packages. Headlights and fogs were very well wrapped and protected and the lips were in a full size box. I've seen polyurethane lips rolled up and shipped in a tiny box to be cheaper so I was happy to see these weren't.
Here's the link to the lips. Just in case the link goes bad, the sellers id is intensespeed. Once again, the front lip was great, the rear lip was crap. I'll see how the second one fits.

So I installed the fog lights today. They were a b*tch. Here's the problems I had:
1. The cover seems too small. I'm pretty new to hondas and ive never seen these fogs on a car in person but in pictures it looks like the cover pretty much covers the hole on the bumper. Mine actually fit in all around. I still like how it looks but it's different than the pictures I've seen
2. Cover was a little warped. I had to use some heat because a corner was just sticking up too much.
3. Brackets don't work without modification. I was at my dads shop so I was able to grind some holes a little bigger. I also had to make a few bends and make my own bracket for one side because it just wasn't gonna work
4. The lights are upside down. The word "TOP" is on the bottom and upside down on both bulbs. This is a pretty stupid mistake on the sellers/manufacturers side. And no, I did not have them backwards. Since these are fog lights and they just throw light everywhere it doesn't matter that much.
5. Part of the harness is missing. I had the part that plugs into the headlights and the small harness for the switch but there should be one more that connects the two harnesses. I made my own for now because I wanted them to work but emailed the seller to have him send it.
6. One light is darker yellow than the other. I think it's because they used a spray to tint these. Not a problem for me because I have the yellow fog spray but can be a problem for others.
Total time was about 4 or 5 hours. I tried to make it as flush as I could but it won't be perfect. I will be molding the piece to the bumper when I repaint the front end.
So overall I'm disappointed with these. The quality of the fog lights themselves seems nice. They are sturdy metal and glass, not cheap plastic.
I would not recommend this project if you don't have many tools available or are not really a DIY person. You can cut the holes and bolt them on in like an hour or less but the fitment will suck and there will be huge gaps. For these to fit well, you'll have to do some extra bending, cutting, grinding, and fabricate a bracket or two.
On the car:

Up close. Thats the size issue I was talking about, seems too small but I still got it without too many gaps:

I still want to grind down a few things so it's not visible from the outside and throw on some black mesh to cover the holes.

It's just a civic. I'm not gonna spend any more money than I have to. I buy only OEM parts for the engine and some parts of the suspension. I have no problem with aftermarket lights or lips. I spent just over a hundred for the headlights and fog lights and I'm happy with that. I don't mind doing some extra work. I would've spent hundreds more if I got oem
Is there an Ebay Review thread? I don't wanna search. I know people are against ebay but i'm sure an Ebay Review thread would really be helpful for those who want to buy stuff but are not sure on some things.

the new headlights look good man.
No they don't. Your car looks horrible... It looks like Ebay puked all over it. Non functional bike rack with stickers, fake lip, fake headlights, fake fog lights, beat up 14" wheels... why even bother to modify it? This sums up everything that is wrong with Honda owners today.
Go ahead and say it scrubs. "Haters gunna hate". Lol. It's like the McDonald's worker's anthem.

Indeed, OEM lights are not expensive. And a real Si lip can be had for ~$100-150 locally with hardware. Pay a good paint shop to paint it.
I wouldn't mind the knock-off lips if they didn't SCREAM: "Not-even-remotely-resembling-OE"
Of all of the knock-off lips, the "Si/CTR" lip is the poorest replication.
Exactly. Why bother even modding then?
If the function was the same on an off-brand part that would be fine, but clearly these are not function mods. And if they're not function mods, they're cosmetic. On "just a civic". Blows my mind!
But yeah, good writeups anyway. (and i mean that).

I mod it because it's my car and I like how it looks. Plus it will look way better with fresh paint. There's always people that are just set on buying name brand parts and that's cool. I don't mind buying a knock off. Only hardcore Honda guys will know these are ebay parts and some will complain and all that but I could care less.
and to some of the posts above,
1. the bike rack is perfectly functional. I've hauled two bmx bikes on it. I just don't have the wheel holder part on there.
2. OEM lights and lips might not be expensive, but they're still way more. $162 EACH from majestic? Plus OEM fogs are at least $200 I'm sure. Then a front lip for let's say $150. That puts be at nearly $700 before shipping. I paid $170 for everything I reviewed plus a rear lip. Plus I like the black housing headlights and they shine way better than my bad stock ones. So say what you want, but there's no way I'm gonna spend another $500 just to have OEM body parts and please some Honda lovers.
I know my car's not clean looking yet and isn't everybody's taste. But I like it and most importantly, the engine runs great and doesn't let me down ever. I work full time and go to school so I don't have much time to work on it. If it was up to me, the body would be flawless and it would have fresh paint. But I don't have that much time and it's not important enough to have someone do it for me.

Sucks that the replica CTR lip looks so off (flares way too much, if you couldn't tell), otherwise I'm sure most people wouldn't mind them. In the end though, I see where you're coming from and I'm glad you don't think all those parts are uber JDM... cuz they're not
I'd say with an OEM Si grill and front lip, the front end would look a lot better. Headlights are not everybody's cup of tea, but they do their job and look decent to boot. Good luck with the rest of your build OP!

Oddly enough, with the higher prices associated with OEM you DO get more for your money though. I've never owned any replica lips due to their shoddy fitment and chances of breaking are much greater. OEM stuff always just fits perfectly.
Not to mention it'll be maybe the third time you wash the car before those ebay headlights start leaking and retaining moisture. After a month or two they'll be hazy and look like crap. But hey... at least they were cheap, you can buy another set and do it again!
Why spend the money 2x's do it right the first time around. Your wasting money spending it on ebay.regaurdless it looks good now what will it look like 3 years from now? just stating my opinion
And I prefer real parts, too.
