d15b2 pistion rings question.
I got a d15b2 with over 200k miles on it and i believe my piston rings are shot, i havnt done the cyclinder compression test yet but i wanted to know if i could maybe i could get some d16 piston like the PM7 pistons and just put them in, just in case my cyclinder walls are scratched up.
Was it from the NNNNAAAAWWWWSSSS?
Do you and the "Mad Scientist" have to rip apart the block to replace the piston rings you just fried? (Tastes like chicken.)
So you haven't tested anything and you want us to look into our crystal ***** and tell you wants wrong. Also, how would swapping out pistons help you if your cylinder walls are scratched up? You have A LOT of reading to do...

thanks king, i figured the pm7 would work, just didnt know if i'd be able to get away with just putting them in. Do you know of any company that makes stage 1 cams and valves for the b2? if you know a link i'd like to check it out, or ill just go to xenocron and ask them.
OP - Are you still scared to search the Internet? Just to fill everyone in I found footage of him from a couple years ago:

Why on earth would you put an aftermarket cam into a 200k motor?
At that, it's a DPFI.
If you are serious about making this D15B2 into a build, then your first priority should be upgrading to MPFI.
If you are still going to build the motor for NA, then you really should focus on upping the compression before dropping money into a cam.
Your money could be spend SO MUCH BETTER.
You have yourself a terrible money pit.
I prefer to call mine neuticles

@4drEF only reason im asknig all these question is cause im trying to make the car pass emissions. After i took it to dmv my car was running at 339 out of the 220 emissions number, so i replace my headers o2 senor and when i turned on the car it sounded like alot of oil and fuel was beign dumbed into the exhaust. So i though well the car has over200k miles why not just look on ebay for afteermarket parts to replace my 21 year old stuff. Sorry if my problem seem so dumb to you. i actually like this 1.5L and would like to restore it to a point before putting my full attention into a better build.
