I'm willing to bet it's your speedo cable, especially if your speedo's bouncing. I've gone so far as to replace a wheel bearing, trying to lose that noise, before I found out what it is. The noise is actually coming from the grease-starved cable, with the squeak transmitting up the cable to the speedometer in your dash cluster, making you think it's coming from the driver's front wheel. Check it out.

i've got a 93 integ and i started to notice a squeaky sound too. did you get a change to check out your speedo cable to see if that was the issue?

just disconnect the cable from the transmission. if sound goes away, you've found the culprit
