Default Poor mans R street/race turbo build~what do you think?

Im having my GSR block and B16 Head being built by Laskey Racing and Sleeved by Bensen racing.
Its going to be fully built with Eagle Rods/CP pistons, Supertech valve train, and going to be running Type R cams.
Im leaning towards the BWR ram horn mani, tial waste gate, tial BOV,precision intercooler and some bolt ons.
Using a fully ported and knife edged HX35 turbo for my street setup looking to go about 20psi and make as close to 500hp as I can on pump gas!
Then eventually switching the turbo out with a Presicsion 6262 or 6765 and uping the boost to about 30psi looking for around 700 on Race gas!

What does anyone think about my set up in a nutshell? I like peoples opinions whether negative or positive so I can get an idea if I might have to change anything or keep going with what I have posted!

Id like to mention Laskey Racing and Bensen Racing absolutly really good people and came off very knowledgeable and down to earth when I spoke on the phone with. Im extremely happy to have my motor build with them as I know its in very very good hands! THANK YOU.

why not just get a 6262 and be done with it ? meet your goals without having to switch out turbos... and good luck with 500 hp on the street lol sounds like a nice build though g/l

For 700 I'm pretty sure thats built tranny territory. Always heard anything north of 600 is when stuff starts breaking. Prolly want some good axels. And make sure your fuel system can support it. Can't go with wrong laskey though. I also agree with above. Just get the turbo for your goals off the bat.

yeah I forgot to mention the Tranny, I have a GSR trans with a type R final drive that will eventually be getting an Mfactory Diff and carbon syncros, I have the HX35 right now and I only want 500 probably until atleast next season so thats kind of why Im going to hold off on the bigger turbo for now.

you won't get 500whp (to the wheels) on an HX35. Perhaps an HX35/40, but not an HX35

^^ yep the turbo will run out of breath, just get the 6262 and be done with it. Also if you are planning for 400+whp then sleeving the block becomes a must. I personally would not try to push any more than 350-400 on the stock sleeves.

Ive seen smaller less beefed up setups get real close to 500 with the HX35 and my Block is at Bensen Racing right now getting sleeved so no worries with any sleeving issues! plus im running 83mm bore and 9:8-1 compression and the turbo is ported and knife edged I might also get a twin scroll manifold to make it a full Twin Scroll set up reguardless with all that you still dont think Ill make it close to 500?

you can do it, my buddy made 489 on 16psi with an hx35 and ran out of fuel or he could have kept going

On a high reading dyno perhaps, but it either wasn't an HX35 or it wasn't 489 @16psi..

My Block is a GSR and my Head is a B16 head, maybe that helps! Also I think I will be getting the HP I want, if a professional says ill have no problem and I truly think I will then it shouldnt be an issue! but I appriciate the feedback everyone I like to hear what other ppl think
