Default Roll cage regulations

Hi, I just got my roll cage done in my civic and I was just wondering what the new 2012 track regulations were for a roll cage install in a civic or any car might be?
Thank you.
Not that it matters but the interior is and all painted now looking fresh!

Thats not a cage. Just a roll bar. Those are pretty standard. Looks fine to me. Should pass tech for 10.00 @ 135. Any faster, and you need a 10 point.

No offense, but the main hoop isnt that tight, and the door bars look kinda low. So I hope its not a custom bent cage. Looks like it might be a prebent?

that main hoop is miles away from the outside paneling. Mine is not the tightest but it looks to me like your helmet will sit higher than the main hoop. no bueno if it does

And the harness bar cant be lower than 4" from your shoulder.

And yes, we need the rocker bar in 10 point cages. Not in a 6/5 point.

If the question is "will it pass" I would have to say no. I don't see a D bar...It's the one that goes in the middle from driver side to passenger side bottom area.

Where does it say that? It says "may" be used to tie the d bars to, not "must".

The kit is from Jegs racing which shipped to me is NHRA over approved, the main hoop was cut a little bit to fit better and welded all together by a professional welder in NYC. I dont think it will have any issues in Tech and I dont plan on going much under 10seconds! plus its not technically going to be a race car its going to be at the track every once in a while but also street not that it matters i guess

it dose matter man its called safety!! there is a reason NHRA has these rules... we are telling you there are issues... remember most of us have already gone through this... this is your first rodeo and you didnt even take time to even look at the rules... so you will get what you get when time comes...

i have also read that the forward bars have to be higher on the main hoop than the harness bar, not sure if that is still correct or not though

Where in the rulebook does it say you cant place the bars down there? I have mine next to the strut towers. But Ive seen plenty that are placed in the spare tire well, and theyve all passed.

Yea, because now the NHRA rulebook is there for "suggestions". Not to regulate safety. They just SUGGEST that you put a cage in your car. But its not mandatory. No worries...

And in all reality, I could care less if you do it right or not. If you think logically, an installation with the rocker bar, is MUCH safer than without. But thats only if you think logically...

that is a terrible place to anchor the rear bars. IMO a bar from strut to strut is best.
