I originally bought this flywheel used, and the surface area was in the same condition as now prior to when I installed and used the flywheel. I emailed ACT with detailed pics asking if I should have the flywheel turned before installation. A rep for ACT replied advising against turning these flywheels, assuring me that heat marks are perfectly normal!
