hey ht. i have a 1990 crx with a dohc zc in it. i am looking to be low 12-high 11's with the car. how close would i be running 7-10 lbs of boost. my motor is basically stock. just looking for peoples opinions.

what are you running now? how much hp are you making? psi doesnt mean jack ****.

rough figures here, lets assume the car weighs ~2000 pounds, you'd need roughly 250whp to run mid 12's. assuming you can put the power down and drive worth a damn.

back in the day, i would run NOS on my zc, along with a bunch of other bolt on's, my best time was a 13.7@100mph

I did end up getting rid of that swap back in the 90's in favor of a b series, and never looked back

 

its not gonna happen on a stock motor

 

even spraying 13.7 good luck...

 

best chance is to disconnect the vacuum hose on the wastegate. go big or go home.

 

Me thinks that 250 on a stock block - non daily driver - is totally possible.
Not sure how it will last. That will depend a lot on tuning and overall engine condition.
