Icon2 honda accord 94, wont engage gears

So i was driving home, in city, so lower gears being used, when i attempted shifting into a higher gear, the car just lost tire momentum, It was like it suddenly went into neutral. Car still ran, clutch pedal still goes up and down, shifter moves into proper location without force. But now in any gear no forward movement, it just wont engage. There was also a feint burning smell.

I have recently replaced the main cylinder, and it still appears functional, i think i may of replaced the slave too, at the same time, but i forget, its been awhile.

So before i get started, any ideas on what the first things i should look for would be, and what you guys think is most likely the issue. Fluids all appear to be of proper level fyi.

I dont know much about transmission work, or working on standards for that matter, most of my work has been on 4wheel drive automatics, so be as detailed as possible, use not too technical terms.

Thanks guys would be a great help if you can lend me a hand, im sick of my wife driving my car!

So the motor throttles in gear but it won't go forward? Burning smell? Sounds like a bad clutch

Okay so, no movement on the speedometer, not in any gear, no movement from the car either, its as if it were in neutral. The rpm guage jumps, not sure if it matters but i thought id throw it in incase you cared.

Thanks

This does matter, it means that the possible axle failure or pop out didn't happen.

Either MAJOR internal damage or a total clutch or pressure plate failure. Either way the tranny must come down from the motor.
