I just replaced my standard halogens in my 93 Del Sol S with some new ZXE bulbs. The light output is definitely whiter and brighter than standard. However, when I parked up against my garage I could see how the passenger side bulb was a bit more yellow than the other one. I swapped the bulbs and the driver side now is a bit more yellow and the passenger side is whiter/brighter.
I suspect a bad bulb - what do you all think? Wouldn't a bad ground affect just the one poorly grounded headlight? The bulbs are brand new, their connections are virtually flawless.

 

Jeez. This is a Honda issue? Contact Sylvania.

 

I will - just was hoping for a little insight/opinion on if it could be the car - i.e, ground, fuse, relay - rather than automatically blaming the bulb and getting on Sylvania's case.
I can't seem to find any threads/posts that pertain to my exact situation.

 

The answer is right on front of your face. The problem follows the bulb. There is no relay/ground/wiring issues.

 

Are you sure, I have never heard of such a thing. I have used Silverstar Ultra's never had that issue.

Wait when you said you parked it and looked against the wall? I doubt that is a good test. Just turn them on and walk in front of the car and see if looks yellowish.

 

If he swapped the bulbs out from one side to the other and the yellowish lighting followed then it's the bulb. You've never heard of faulty bulbs?

 

But if you are using a reflection off the wall, not a good idea.

 

How do you think they recommend that you adjust headlights? If the yellow spot was on the left and then you swapped bulbs and it is now on the right then it's the bulb.

 

If they didn't get it the first time you said it its not even worth trying to help

 

maybe take the bulb out and rub it with your fingers then put them back in
