Had same issue when i did a mini swap wit a y8 head, i just used a smaller longer screw a put it on the top, since it was only one that lined up, and put a nut on te screw to hold it down...it worked for me and never moved
all of the dizzy mounts are on the head, so you have a y8 head so use a y8 dizzy. If you have a OBDI engine harness you will need to repin the connectors if I remember correctly.
ugh whats with all this wrong information being passed around lately???
o/p you DO use the y8 distributor. obd1/2 has the same internals and sensor signals, they cross back and forth, so using the newer dizzy on your obd1 set up WILL work just fine.
Cpl rampage said it right

d15b7 dizzy will work, I am currently running one on my 90 EX with a A6Y8 mini-me, obd1 converted on a p28. Y8 dizzy will not work on obd1, does not have crank sensor.

99-00 however does have the sensor located on the crank instead of in the dizzy.
o/p if you can get the b7 dizzy to work then use it, this guy has actually done this swap, i used a z6 head myself

i figure the same thing isnt thats why i had to run the 2 extra wires from the ecu for the crank sensor? ima just use the b7 if you have same setup running fine i trust you...you think you can post a pic of it?
lots of bad information in here.
the sensor on the oil pump is called the ckf...crank fluctuation sensor...it appears on obd2 civics and integras. it does not appear on obd1 or obd0.
internally the obd1 and obd2 distributors on civics are the same, but have different plugs. the ckf is ONLY an issue if you are running an obd2 ecu.
