My question is Does anyone run OBX header at the moment or had them for some time on their Si? and how does it run? i dont need people telling me how bad they are.. i just need to know if people are using it and they like it

 

Sounds like you are looking for internet justification more than factual information - I'll provide you a sample so you can just waste the money and feel better about a cut rate header

i've had one on my rsx for almost a year now and no problems. i too was a doubter of obx at one point so i took a big chance with this thing, but when i got it and put it on i was very impressed.

pros:
- cheap
- excellent quality
- fit like oem
- makes decent power

cons:
- it's obx so all the haters with no firsthand experience come out of the woodwork

I had an OBX header on my Accord a couple years ago and the flange where the two pieces connect warped horribly within a year. I even made my own gasket from a thick high quality sheet of Mr. Gasket and that still wasn't enough.

If it is available, I would go with Megan Racing any day over OBX. I'll never use their products again. Also, if yours is a two piece header I would STRONGLY recommend getting a copper gasket where the two pieces meet instead of the junk one that is included. They can be found on summitracing and whatnot.

Finally, no matter what brand you go with make sure all the flanges are FLAT and have not warped from the welding process.
