Default Ordered supercharger.. and I want to make sure I get the right accompanying parts.

Ok, I have a 2002 Acura RSX-S
Got the compression tested, looked good.
Ordered JRSC race version, KPRO

So the JRSC will come with 550cc injectors. Im going to buy 650cc and a couple steps colder spark plugs. I already have an Injen cold air intake, Comptech race header, Invidia Q300 2.75" exhaust.

1. I am going to replace timing belt and water pump. How much work is it to switch to the timing chain set up on the newer RSX's?

2. Im shooting for 275-300hp. I have a brand new stage 1.1 clutch and a flywheel installed. They have like 1,000 miles on each. Am I going to burn my clutch up fairly fast?

3. I need an LSD. Which one is recommended and why.

4. So, once I get my s/c on and kpro in, will a base map suffice to drive my car to a tuner? Nearest one is 3 hours away. Im in West Michigan. Im new to boost and tuning.

5. I have 17" wheels that are 7.5 inches wide. Two need new tires. Should I get some nice fat ones so I dont have a lot of wheel spin? Any in particular anyone could direct me to? This will be a street driven car. Not in the elements, but I want to keep it DD style.

6. Thanks.

1) with the engine in its a pain in the *** but doable.... but have fun..... while you're in there you might as well invest in a better aftermarket timing tensioner. We also don't have timing belts (which you know as you stated timing chain secondly, probably just a typo you didn't think about)

2) Burning up your clutch will depend on your driving... is this a daily? do you track it? Street race it? How often are you going to beat the hell out of it etc. etc. Stage 1.1 is weak sauce in my opinion but I know guys with factory clutches and chargers and are doing fine.

3) Quaife LSD is a good all around differential and comes with a lifetime warranty. It doesn't use a clutch style so no replacing parts on it. Also I've used quaife before and no issues. I'm a happy customer

4) A base map will do you just fine to get you to a tuner. Just be gentle with her and don't **** pound her until it is tuned.

5) You will definitely want some newer softer stickier tires. Probably look into like a 225/40 of some sort for width and looks. I have the Azenis 615K and I love them. Great grip but just like any sticky tire the life is lower. But you have to give to gain.

6) You're welcome

cool, thanks for the input Spaz. As far as I knew only 04-06 or something had a timing chain. Im pretty sure mine has a timing belt. I guess Im not positive on that though. Ill probably google it right after I type this. Or now.

1. Yeah, I have a timing belt it looks like. I dont know if theres confusion because I dont think I entirely understand what your answer to #1 is.

2/3 I just drive it occasionally. When I first got it, I put 20,000 on it in a year. Now I will probably only put a couple hundred a week. Maybe Ill get the LSD later on when summer starts and upgrade the clutch at that time. I trying to plan ahead to not waste time and money and be able to actually use the power I make.

4. Cool beans

5/6 Alright, Ill look into those. Hows traction on yours? I see your sig.. Thanks again.

all k series have timing chains. you're probably mistaking the serpentine belt for the timing chain.

Yeah since you mentioned replacing the water pump I am pretty sure you are confusing timing chain and serpentine belt....

are you talking about the belt that wraps around your alternator, power steering, ac, water pump, and belt tensioner? Sounds like you are now...

If you want a new clutch and you want LSD I would wait till you have them both and do them at the same time so you only need to pull your transmission out at once.

As far as grip I loved those tires. I wouldn't have recommended them if I didn't... I hold all of my power with minimum spinning. But I also have LSD. Without it I'd spin a **** ton more. So you will definitely want to invest in nice tires if you plan on doing any good runs.
