Default Does this look like a broken stud to you???

Took off the stock heat shield for what I thought was the first time ever and the bottom left stud/bolt (circled in red) seems to be missing. Does it look like it has been twisted off?

Any possibility a machine shop would be able to drill that out with the manifold off / head on the car and clean it up for me?

Thanks for advice

Thanks... I'll swing by the machine shop tomorrow to see if they are up for it.

You don't even have to take the manifold off to fix it. Just get one of those reverse drill bits and pull it out.

Do you need to take the manifold off for some reason? If not, I would just leave it since it doesn't look like it's leaking or anything.

Replacing leaky oil pan gasket. Or I would just leave it. It's been ok for 12 years

Oil pan gaskets are cake. Pull exhaust, pull flywheel cover, pull oil pan. Just make sure you don't lose any of those nuts/bolts. They're tiny.
