Just as the title says....WHY!? Oh and v-tec WILL NOT kick in? Bad solenoid?

Well youd think the car would be quite tourqey in 1st gear taking off but the car bucks like a damn rented mexican mule while trying to take off....and again, for some reason v-tec just wont kick in....at all. This is all I have as far as details, just started happening so before digging to find it, I figured Id check here first.

Well the motor should pull hard in first gear if it is in good shape, my LS Vtec will spin threw first and into second no problem, stock motor and head. Do you have Vtec wired in and a ECU that will run Vtec?? Importantly did you have it tuned?? All LS Vtec motors have to be tuned to get the most out of them and to run correctly.

ok, good points but why wouldnt it do it through all 5 gears? Only 1st....
