Default Randome Misfire. Cylinder 3

First off I have a 98 Integra GSR. It has a LS Vtec in it now. Anyways I'm having an issue with a random misfire on cylinder 3. I just got done driving it a little and it idles a little rough and will occasionally bogg down. While just cruising it runs decent. But it was sounding kinda funny like almost an exhaust leak sound. Now the plugs, wires, and the whole dizzy is new. Maybe something wrong with a valve? Any input would be wonderful.
Thanks for your time everyone

I might be wrong, but if you have an exhaust leak couldn't that cause your o2 sensor to be reading lean? If that's the case the ecu would be dumping excess fuel in and causing the miss

It's not running like it's dumping fuel though. It boggs occasionally but it seems kinda sporadic.

Random misfires are almost always due to a fuel issue, swap cylinder 3 fuel injector with one of the others, clear the code(s) and run the engine, [take car for a spin] then check the codes again. 94

usually the injector or a down cylinder. easiest thing to do is a compression test. if the cylinders all check then swap injectors

I'll give that a try tomorrow if I have time. I hope it's just an injector...

if you have a vacuum gauge check the head as well. put the gauge in the pcv port and see how many " of vac your head is drawing. if the needle is fluttering or you're down much under 18-19" there are issues. most the healthy B series heads i've seen are between 20 and 23" of vac

I'm gonna have a friend look at it. I swapped the injectors and drove a little bit and couldnt get the light to come back on it but I defiitely heard it miss. And after a while of driving it will start to idle low sometimes and when you go to take off and hit the gas the rpm's will drop a little and then pull back up.

open the oil cap with it running at idle. if you feel it pulsing a lot of air on your hand. if it does do a compression or leak down, the pulsing and air you feel is blow by

the other thing i've seen cause this is if the timing belt jumps a single tooth. car will never idle right. this will also show itself with vacuum. your vac numbers will read low

a few simple tests will pinpoint your exact problem
