Need an oil pump BAD
I have a 1989 Integra with the D16A1 engine.
I bought it with a rod knock, tore it down....
when I losened the end caps on #3 and #4 the bolts just fell out.....UHOh
SOOOO I got the machine work done and turned the mains and rods .010 and went .020 on the cylinders. I figured the oil pump went out, But now we will never know because it has DISAPPEARED...LOL and I cannot find a reman one anywhere. I have been told the oil pump from an 89 civic si will work is that true?

No it will not work.
First you have to grind down the part of the oil pump that is in the way of the T belt washer then that slides on no problem. All the bolt holes line up perfect.
The passage is a little bit off and will spray oil all out the back of the pump from where it doesnt seal.

From everything I have read, no. I researched earlier when I first saw your posts and theres countless threads of people asking the same thing, it seems they were discontinued several years ago and nobody has them in stock anymore.
Try Acura Carland...
