Icon2 sitting in a tow truck as I type...

sup guys. sitting in a tow truck.
1994 integra gsr shell. 1997 ls motor. hAlf radiator w/ fan

on my way to work smoke came into my cabin. checked the needle, said it was fine. checked 2 mins later and it's a 1/4 from being all the way to the right. pulled over. gave it 20 mins to cool down. checked oil dip stick and it had oil (just did a oil change last week). there was coolant everywhere behind the motor.

checked the coolant level in the resevoir and it was fine. but there was no pressure in the tubing.
I'm guessing my thermostat got stuck? also my gas needle dropped all the way to the right as if I had a full tank of gas... I dont..

any ideas what it could be?

Hmm, the gas needle thing is pretty weird.....

Where is teh coolant coming from. There is a feed and return line going into the cabin (for the heater core) and maybe one of those fell off?

There is a hose that goes from the head (passenger side, under the dizzy, closer to the front of the car) to the intake manifold. If your motor is stock it is connected to the HARDLINE and it is welded to the hardline from the valve cover - intake tubing. One of these carries air and one carries coolant. There are hoses leaving both sides (1 to the head, 1 to the intake manifold) and maybe something blew there.

find out where the leak is coming from first. fix it. then see if there are any other problems

yea next time just follow where all the coolant is coming from or fill the system with water and find the leak. coolant inside your engine bay means something exploded. 99% of the time it will be a hose
