wiring clutch switch??
so i have a 01 itr that was stripped and im turnign it into a strip car im almost done but i have 1 question the vehicle had NO wiring in it so i built my own harness just for the things i needed cause its a dedicated track car. question is How do i wire my clutch switch to the ecu so i would be able to utilize my anti-lag and stuff like that?? ive tried researching and looking at diagrams but nothing usefull has come up. any help would be great suppost to be going to get tuned this week in prep for honda day!
Depends on what you use to turn it on/off. There are two types of switches, one that is on when released and one that is off when released. Check your switch and see what you have.
The way I used mine is one side of switch to ground and other side to ecu.

The best part is that it doesn't really matter, you can set it up for either type in AEM and most quality EMS (normally closed vs normally open)
So the switch is a 12v circuit.... How would I wire that? I have it go to a switched power in the ems but where would the other wire out of the switch go?
Ground one side of clutch switch wire and the other wire goes to ecu. That's how I did mine. I also used the other switch above clutch switch for my boost controller using 12v.
usually its pin b7
thats what my 92 cx was wired to from factory and ectune had an option for it and it worked great
and how i did it on my 95 cx hatch that wasnt wired in... i ran a wire from ecu, pin b7 to the clutch switch, then on the other side of the clutch switch i ran that directly to ground ...
i also like to use the cruise control switches... there will be 2 of them on ej1 and eh3 cars with cruise control it will be the lower one, that switch has a released ground so when you push the pedal it grounds the circuit.... the higher switch is the neutral safety so the clutch has to be pushed in to start the car...
you can use that switch that is a type of switch that is normally not connected when released and connected when pushed... i dont like that style i havent figured it out how to use them i know with ectune and hondata and aem im sure you can, but its just alot easier to use the cruise control clutch switch

also with using the spot on the clutch bracket where the cruise control switch goes, it cuts as soon as you push the pedal...
if you use the higher spot for the clutch switch the pedal has to be on the floor to operate... wouldnt work to great imo and i never use that spot i always use the lower spot
