Ok. I did hours of research on this site an others and could not come up with a definitive answer. I know they fit for 96-00 civic coupes. My question is, will the sedan si fit also? Some say its too wide and some say it leaves gaps where the seat belt is located. Please help shine a light on this issue for me. Will be buying a sedan si rear seat soon but want to make sure it will fit with little to no modification. Any and all replies are appreciated.

I wish I could but I'm going to buy it online and don't know anyone who has these seats, let alone a sedan SI and a coupe SI. I'm holding out on buying it until I know for sure.

 

I believe mine were from a Coupe, and mine has < a 1" gap where the seatbelt goes down. I want to say i read somewhere that the sedan gets rid of that gap, but i cant say for sure. If you can pull a length and depth measurement id be able to do the same. If you want pictures of the seats in the car ( I have the front SI seats also) I can post them again.

can you message me if you figure out any or with links to other proper instruction. i have a 99 civic si coupe, and i bought front seats and rear seats from a si 2006. it has rails etc. i been doing research. but once i start, im gonna take pictures and instruction of how to do it yourself. its just been snowing up here WA. Right now i have front and rear leather seats.

again i have 99 coupe from 06 si sedan.

It has pictures of front and back seats, and I believe i put a short description of how to install the rear seats. The brackets do not just switch over you will have to grind them flat and drill new holes in the rear seats. The loop at the top does not line up with the latch so i just cut them off. The tops are a bit wider so they fit in there snug.

Another option that i was thinking of doing was making new mounting brackets for the latches and relocating them to line up. I think something was in the way of this so i went with plan B cutting them off.

For being seats out of a car that is 10 years plus newer i thought they fit amazingly well. The fronts sit a tad higher but if you sit far away from the steering wheel or lean your seat back it wont make a difference.

There are a few differences between the coupe seats and the sedan seats, on both the bottoms and the tops. Here they are for comparison:

The armrest is the most noticeable difference, and you can see that the headrests are bulkier on the sedan. Also, the coupe has a built in side bolster where the seat meets the plastic interior panel.

On to the bottoms, coupe seat on top:







Other than the front corners of the bottoms, everything looks really good when you get the sedan seats installed, but there is a pretty big gap where the sedan seat curves around:

 

I really like the coupe seats alot better after I got them installed in the car. The fitment is much better. It looks like the seats belong there. Just make sure when you buy them that you get the brackets that hold the seats in place. You will need to modify them a little to fit. Question, i just bought front & back 08 si seats and i want to put them in a 99 hatch. Will the rear seats fit or will there be a big gap on thw sides please help
