V6 6spd clutch pedal soft at hi-rev shifts - please respond if you've experienced...
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and looking for some input. I just picked up an 04 V6 6-speed, and I've got an issue with the clutch pedal (which unfortunately didn't manifest itself during the test-drive).
The problem: the clutch pedal frequently goes soft and is slow to return during high-rev (>5000 rpm) shifts. Sometimes the clutch actually re-engages with the pedal still down, and I have to pump the pedal a couple of times before it'll disengage the clutch again. However, this problem ONLY occurs during high-rev shifts. When shifting during normal driving (<4000 rpm), the pedal is rock solid and works beautifully. The clutch itself seems fine overall (no slipping, chatter, etc), so I'm thinking this has something to do with the master/slave hydraulic system. The fluid in the reservoir is near the low mark, but still ok. I've marked it's level to see if it drops over time. I also plan to check for any obvious leaks this afternoon.
I've poured over forums for the past couple of days, and I've seen this issue referenced quite a few times, however no definitive answers. If you've had this problem and found a fix (or heard of one), would you please post it below? Thanks!

Not sure if it applies, but had a similar issue on my 95. Replaced the cylinder under the dash (Not sure if you reference that as the slave or master) and after a tedious priming process to get ALL the air out of the system, it has been good ever since.
