Ok so i have a 95 civc eg with a jdm b16a in it and my IACV is acting up and the idle is pulsing from 1100 to 1300 rpm so instede of paying 200 bucks and I just block it off like people do with the fast idle thermo valve? And I could not find a diagram of the vacuum lines just incase the lines are hooked up wrong. A little help please

 

this will not work. you will not fix your issue. find a good used valve and fix the problem.

 

you don't have to actually get a new one, try cleaning it! Check the FAQ for cleaning guides for IACV's

 

you could also tap it with a hammer and it will knock some of the carbon out, or so ive been told. im also gonna get an used one from a junkyard insted of paying almost $200 for a new one.

 

Grab a 5 dollar can of carb cleaner and clean it. Reset your computer and away you go.

 

One of the first things I did was spraying carb cleaner in it. So I guess iobtake the whole thing off the car and realy scrub it down. Thanks guys. Ill keep u posted
