I'm guessing all the wires were cut and spliced (hacked)?

I assume the door speakers are powered off the factory wiring (not rewired into the door?)

Did they cut the factory plug in the door?

Look closely at the factory plug if still there, you will have 2 wires coming in and 2 wires going to the factory tweets, are all the wires still intact?

My point is if any were cut you should get the colors for the wires coming into the doors put some spades terminals on them and plug into the speakers and see if you hear anything.

Aaand. . I'm stuck again, I don't know how to re attach the loose wires when the entire connector is covered in this grease sealant stuff
Super typical, that is such a pain. As for the colors not matching, the inner door might be a different color.

You can go to a junk yard and cut off a plug and solder to your car.

You can repin yours, sort of a pain to do it.

Or you can buy a new floor harness from honda still a pain.

I pulled the male socket out of the door and checked the wires. They're all different Which means that the red and green one that I traced all throughout under the dash magically disappeared in the hinge tube and shows back up in the door. .

But I found where it was missing from the car-side of the connector, and found where the ground wire was (luckily, still intact) so then I tested each of the three loose wires with one of the speakers and found one that worked

As a temporary fix, I jammed a big piece of copper wire into the red/green wire's socket and tried crimping it with a knife, then soldered the working wire to the copper, put the rubber back on, plugged everything up, put the fender back on, put the front bumper back on, put the side skirt back on, put the door panel back on, put the wheel back on, put the speaker back in, and played music

I never found out what the two remaining wires were for, everything works on the door: window, locks, whatnot. (maybe it's the power-mirror :-\ I'll check)

I guess my next step is to figure out how to replace that plug before my shotty wire fix gives way...

Could be for the power mirrors, test them.

Good idea just using some copper wire, at least get some music.

Go to a junk yard cut as much off the donor car and solder it on, cheaper that way.
