ok so i was in the middle of my alarm installation today and i was testing the white starter wire under the dash to make sure it was the right one when sudenly my dumba$$ managed to hit some metal under the dash with my tester lead as i was testing the wire causing a spark, after that i tried to turn the key to make sure everything was fine but to my surprise when i twist the key nothing happened no dash lights,no radio,windows dont roll up or down but the headlights and hazards do work so im thinking is either the fuse box that got shorted out or the ignition switch i need advice guys has anyone gone through something similar before? any help would be greatly appreciated.

test y0ur fuses and relays first, check all the easy stuff first and work from there

 

ive checked all the fuses on both the engine and the under dash fuse box all good not one single fuse blown relays they all click i tested the hot wires before the fuse box they all have power but after the fuse box nothing has power, flip the key and nothing at all that's when my tought of a bad ignition switch comes in without discarding the possibility of a blown fuse box of course, this is driving me nuts i have work at 5 am tomorrow is just so frustrating

I've heard people say this many many times and it still manages to be a blown fuse somewhere.
