i got a question about my ecu...recently, i was using a p28 set up with an s300, then i got my orginal ecu which is a p72 with the newer s300...i see a difference when vtec pops with this p72...not a good difference. i cant feel or hear vtec pop anymore. but with the p28, i felt and herd the difference. is that because the p28 was tuned to certain specifications? or is it because im using a p72 on a b16a motor?

You shouldn't "feel" vtec "POP" on a properly tuned car.
It should be a smooth transition between the low & high cam creating a clean powerband.

The phenomenon you are describing has nothing to do with the ecu models, but with the calibration on the s300.
