What coils are people using with the Hondata CPR set up? I know they recommend the 30520-PVF-A01, but are those for the K series? I didn't want to use those because they are too long and I want to hide them under the spark plug cover. I have been looking around, but it is confusing as to what part numbers go with which coils. Any help would be appreciated.

 

the ones hondata recommends are not k series coils. they are pilot/ridgeline and single cam civic coils.

 

^^^ O.K. Thank you. I think I am starting to get it. As far as looks go, the bolt hole for the recommended (shorter) coils is on the side of the top of the coil head (so 90 degrees from the plug), and the bolt hole on the K series (longer) is on the back of the top of the coil head. (about 140-150 degrees from the plug). At least that is what it looks like to me so far. Maybe some helpful info for others that are looking around for these coils.

 

They are great coils if you want to go with something smaller you can always use the CBR coils or AEM Pencil coils. Although they tell you to use those coils as they are smart coils. So with the CBR or AEM pencil coils you would need a 4-Channel ignitor as well.
