I think im the first person to put a Heads Up Display in an EK???
i have a looked around online for someone who has done a HUD(heads up display) in an ek civic... i have a buddy that put one in the center vent of his eg dash but looks all janky and ive seen the one that the guy did into his crx... i have NOT found a person who has done it to an ek at all!!
so with that being said, im not gonna say 100% that i am but im pretty damn sure im the first person to put one in an ek.. i put one in my ek sedan today. wasnt too bad of a job and its definitely unique!! it works perfectly fine and is accurate with the speedometer...
any questions or comments??

That looks like ***.
BTW. Waay back in the day they used to make HUD kits. The were too expensive an never caught on but they didn't require you to hack the dash up like that.
I wouldn't go around bragging about that.

Did somebody really do that?
To the OP, you don't have to put such a big hole. All you need is a hole big enough for the wires or any modules that stick down below the line of the plastic housing and somes small holes for the bolts/screws. Also, it's MUCH easier to get a spare dash at the salvage yard or on CL for $50-100 and experiment on that.

It'd be somewhat cool if you would've at least made it look nice!
But as previously stated by numerous members, it looks like ***.

Okay, everyone agrees that the job is sloppy and looks bad. No need to beat that horse anymore.
Anybody want to comment on the technology?

Geez. If this were an audio install, it would get all kinds of kudos regardless of how (perceived) sloppy the install is.
Do you have some shots of the display in action?
What are you running software/hardware wise to make this work?
