Hey Everyone. I wanted find out what could be the reason why the interior of my car smells like gas every time I drive the car. After 20 minutes of driving I smell like gas. Do you think the exhaust has a leak?

 

Does it smell like raw gasoline or rich exhaust fumes? Check for a fuel leak around the fuel filter and an exhaust system leak.

 

Car wire tucked? Check for exhaust leaks

 

Wait, in the title you said it smells like exhaust, but in the post you said it smells like gas. Which one is it?

 

Sorry it smells like exhaust fumes. I'm jacking up the car later tonight and will inspect the exhaust pipes.

exhaust pipe you'd more then likely hear any holes.

 

I have the same issue, but I run a bit rich. Do you have any mods? Check the header / manifold if you have a turbo to see if its leaking there or like you noted under the car.

 

Jacked up the car and and found out that each end of the resonator has huge crack. I'm bringing the car in to my mechanic and he will take this out and custom make a straight thru pipe. Thank you everyone for the input.
