Default Stock eg d15b7 bogging until 3000 rpm

I got a stock eg d15b7 and the car is bogging and backfiring under 3k. Also it only happens when the car is warmed up and has under a quarter tank of gas. Checked a bunch of stuff including timing. Maybe fuel pump or filter? After 3k it just goes like nothing was wrong..

I'd change the fuel filter. It's cheap and easy to change being right on the firewall. I'd then check fuel pressure and the injectors. Are you getting any codes?

try running seafoam to clean everything up and see if it helps. I did that on an old camry I had and it helped. Just a thought for ya to try.

Why are you ignoring a CEL code? Fix the O2 sensor code and check the mechanical and ignition timings.

How did you check the timing? What did you do to check it?

To set it properly you need to let the car warm up to operation temp. Jump the service connector and then adjust the timing. The car runs in closed loop till it warms up and will adjust timing for cold start/idle. After it warms up it goes into open loop where it looks for input from the various sensors to adjust timing.

That rotor screw is the worst thing Honda ever invented. At least yours came out. Mine stripped and took like an hour and a half to remove...
