Default New civic questions boost help

I just recently bought a hatch for 1500 bucks. Drives great blah blah but heres what gets me. Plus what freakin motor is in this thing???!?? All it says on the block is ZC.

How do I fix this gap.

Its a straight car except for that it bothers me.

Also anyone have any clue on what the stock internals on these motors can hold. Id like to get a low boost set going on it.

That ZC is a four cylinder dual overhead cam non-vtec motor, you can find more specifics of it on the block stamp (located left of and next to the exhaust header).

There's a thread on D-series.org that has a lot of information on the DOHC ZC's....I don't know how to post links.

Can you load some larger images?
They are showing up super tiny on my screen.
I can barely see that there is even a car in the pic!

Oh - and you should be able to hold 180 on the stock block no problem.
If the block is in great condition then you could do somewhere in the neighborhood of 210hp.
Much more than that and you need to start in on new internals - rods specifically.

You could try screwing down the hood bumpers.....probably won't work but worth a shot
