Honda Lifetime Warranty on seatbelts?
Does anyone know if Honda still honors the Lifetime warranty on seatbelts? My seatbelt on my 99 Civic Si won't roll up all of the way, it's just due to age, not misuse. Called my local dealer here in Ann Arbor, and they were pretty vague. I'm trying to avoid sitting at the stealership all day, then have them charge me out of the nose to replace it.

From this PDF file/owner's manual, they should honor that warranty. (page 4)

I just took my gf's 2000 Accord V6 in because the SRS light was on. The car has almost 90k on it and they replaced the seat belt buckle for FREE!!!.
Also, I had a 00 Si and I had the problem where the belt flipped over and would not retract. They fixed that for free as well.
Shouldn't have any problems getting that taken care of. Good luck.

They'll fix it for free. As long as your car has not been wrecked at any time.
But it's an easy fix to do yourself. Get a piece of long skinny sandpaper and sand down the D-ring. Then clean the seatbelt with hot soapy water and your problem is solved.

i went to the dealership for my 00 ex and told then about my seatbelt problem and that i heard it was some sort of recall. they told me there is no recall on the seatbelts or whatever and they wouldnt fix it for free. just my experience
If you go to a dealer and ASK if they'll do something for free, they never will. You need to print/get the warranty or whatever you need to show that they have to fix it then go there and tell them what they need to do. I personally hate dealerships with a passion and have only gone there for parts.

Thanks for all of the responses. I'm taking the warranty by the stealer tomorrow.
