My 94 accord 2.2l has started surging when started and the engine is cold. Its like I am giving gas and letting off,giving it gas and letting off. It also before the surging started,the battery light will come on for a few seconds then go off,come on and go off. Once the engine is warmed up the battery light will not come on anymore unless the engine has been off a few hours and completly cooled down. Can someone tell me whats going on ?

 

Idle surge when the engine is cold can be the FITV or the IACV. There is a very good DIY on how to diagnose, clean and adjust them in the FAQ.
