Icon2 2003 Honda Accord window/door lock problem.

I have a 2003 Honda accord w/ window and door lock problems. They both don't work. I have replaced the master door switch which came with the pwr mirror switch. The mirrors work but the windows and locks dont. I have tried the turning the ignition switch on and off with prssing lock/unlock and didn't work. The remote has a new battery but won't work windows/locks. I can hear the locks trying to work . I need help.

Thanks.

All windows don't work. Every window worked except driver window before. When I replaced the power window switch like I said before. Now none work. I have checked fuses under dash and hood and all seem to be good. Really strange that nothing works now. I can here the locks trying to lock in the door. I've replaces the battery in the remote and the remote won't even work the windows. Baffled.

Ok whe you changed the sw. is the master sw that cuts off the other windows turned off? If the lock is trying to work it may be a bad lock solined A real PITA so lets take the door pannel off and check for power and gnd, at the locks and the window moter when thay are told to work Want a good trick? use a old head lite jumper wires to hook up to the window then lock the lite should come on and be bright this will tell you that you have power and gnd. and no high restance. but rember that power and gnd has to change in order for thise things to wpok

Thanks Joe 44,

I'll give that a try and get back to you. Another clue was, the power mirrors work on the masters switch and the windows don't. Surprisingly enough, I ordered another Master switch with the same results. The pwr mirrors work and windows NOT. I was also told to check the rubber tube which goes between the body and door for a any cracked wires. Trying both and back to you with results. Thanks again.

I am having a similar problem, but slightly different. My drivers side window started acting up and eventually quit working. Near the end it would try to open and close by itself but not moving more than a couple millimeters. The passenger side window lock started not responding to the remote or the master switch. Now both dont work. I am wondering if it is the master switch assembly in the drivers side or if both the issues are just coincidental and separate from each other. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX Coupe V6

I have a 2003 Honda Accord and I thought he battery on my remote was bad so i got it replaced. It started working better for a few days. However, we got locked out of the car when we went to the store. The remote wouldn't work but we could hear it clicking on the other doors but not drivers side. I used the key and it wouldn't work either, finally I forced it a bit more than I probably should have and got it to raise the lock slightly enough to get in as my passenger side doesn't have key entry only drivers side and trunk. So we did get home and next time I tired to get in drivers door with key it won't do anything at all and felt like it would break, had to go in through trunk and now it won't release on the inside or outside, but windows still go up and down on all windows. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful as i don't want to break the lock and have it be a huge expense since we can't get in or out of the drivers side door from the inside or the outside now.
