slave cylinder/master cylinder
hey guys. a friend has a 94 coupe that will not go into gear when the car is running. but if the car is off it well go into every gear. we got stuck at a light yesterday and the car wouldn't go into any gear i was wondering if it could be the slave cylinder. he turned the car off and put it into second then turned the car back on and it took off. any ideas of wat it could be im clueless on this one.
really it could be ether one check them both for leaks (the slave at the tranny and the master inside the car at the top of clutch pedal ) also watch to see if the clutch fork moves when you push the pedal.
i just had this problem...my slave was hella leaking fluid everytime id push on the clutch eventually the clutch stuck to the ground...it really sucked due to the fact that i was out of town were i had none of my tools...luckily i was near a auto repair shop...
