hey guys. a friend has a 94 coupe that will not go into gear when the car is running. but if the car is off it well go into every gear. we got stuck at a light yesterday and the car wouldn't go into any gear i was wondering if it could be the slave cylinder. he turned the car off and put it into second then turned the car back on and it took off. any ideas of wat it could be im clueless on this one.

really it could be ether one check them both for leaks (the slave at the tranny and the master inside the car at the top of clutch pedal ) also watch to see if the clutch fork moves when you push the pedal.

also check the little rubber hose right before the slave cylinder, I had a similar problem and my rubber hose had a pin hole in it.

check condition of the fluid too. I had that problem and ended up flushing the (very dark) fluid out
