I'd be nicer with say a faded yellow with a clear coat on it. people have done matte yellow in IL, and it is not ever remotely close to looking good. And these were professional paint jobs.

Matte can look real nice, I think the yellow might not look great in matte though. Ive seen green, black, and blue, they looked good.

If you want to get the flat yellow finish, and your OEM paint is still good, then just get a shop to wrap it! There's plenty of places that do custom textures in different colors now. Then if you don't want it anymore, it's removable.

I've seen a few matte yellows... all but one looked like a faded dandelion. if you plan on doing it yourself I would strongly suggest weighing out your options and interests. If paint wasn't so damn expensive I'd tell you to do it take pics if you don't like it redo it but unfortunately thats not reasonable.

Good luck on your decision but IMHO I would look at another color scheme or don't go matte.
