Default B20 running rough in EK.

I recently swapped a B20 in my EK, I ended up having to use OBD0 Injectors without a resistor box and my main O2 sensor isnt hooked up. When I crank it when its cold or been sitting it idles real rough until it warms up then it idles decent but loops. If i barely give it any gas its like its bogging out but when I give it gas it has a decent pickup. Now, when I was putting it in my brother mistakenly loosened up the timing belt tensioner all the way so the belt was slack, I havent tightnened it up but it automatically tensions back up right? Where should I start on fixing this problem? Any and all help is appreciated.

Head gasket isnt blown either, that was my first check because of the rough idle start up. I thought coolant might be getting into the block but its not.

I'm no expert, but I would start with what I bolded. You practically answered your own question by mentioned what you already know is wrong with it. I would start there.

I know that, but I was wondering if there was a specific one you'd start with. I know ill have to fix them all.

For one, I'd ensure the timing belt is on correctly so you don't bend a bunch of valves. Pretty obvious why this is the first thing you'd look into.

2nd I'd fix the injector issue and clean the IACV (a common culprit of rough idle)

If the timing belt ended up bending valves and what not could it cause damage to the block or only the head?

Likely just bend the valves, mess up the valve guides, etc. You'd probably have to spend $400+ fixing it in just parts.

Well what I was thinking was i'd just take it to my buddy and have him vtec it. Could I bend valves from just the belt being loose?

I changed the injectors and got the o2 sensor and its still running the same. Are there some sensors that I could keypoint in seeing if thats causing it?
