Default Simple tire size question

Am I correct that if I use a taller tire, then, it should take me a little bit longer to go through the gears?

The reason I ask is b/c I was hitting the rev-limiter in fourth gear at the end of the quarter mile when using my 22" slicks.

I have a new set of 23" tires and was hoping it doesn't change in that I would need to shift into fifth.

BTW D series, Si trans.

That is correct. Try playing with some of the gear calculators out there and you can see how it effects mph through the gears.

teammfactory, zealautoworks, etc. have calculators.

Yes you are correct. You will pass the traps at a lower RPM in 4th w/ the 23's.
