VORTECH FMU trade (my 12:1 for your 8:1)?
Would anybody like to trade FMU discs? I just installed 310's and my gas mileage is pounding me in the rear (aside from running rich).
If anyone is interested in a 12:1 disc, I will gladly trade you for your 8:1. PM me!

No, I'm serious. But, if you do not believe me, I encourage you to change disks and see how your gas milage changes. I'm talking about street driving of course, not laps around a road course, in which case, you may see a significant difference.
Well let's put it this way.
I drive on the street like you would on the track.
I'm getting 130 miles to a full tank of gas. Boost happy? Yes. A smaller ratio of disc will help? Yes.

do you have an afc? this would help solve the real problem: installing 30% larger injectors without the ecu knowing the difference. Right now, you are dumping all that extra fuel in even when not in boost, that is the main reason why your mileage is so poor, not because you are so rich in boost. Think of what percentage of the time that your engine is on that you actually spend in boost.
Good point. Thinking of just installing the GReddy Blue Box that came with the kit, but I've heard bad things about it, and wanted to stay w/ the FMU setup for now.
Hmm.

for a cheap fix you should have gone w/ the smc setup, but you already have 310's, you might be able to find some dsm 450's cheap though.... thats another option.
why dont u just order one from vortech? only $65+ for the calibration kit. running rich is costing you gas which = money.

BTW-Your gas mileage will still suck. Your best bet is to use the SMC with the 310's. It will work fine, just drop the fuel only -15% instead of -35%. It is universal and only costs $100.

You can run the 310's just fine without any additional fuel controller as long as you get your pressure low enough. Most B series engines idle with about ~35 psi of fuel pressure. If you can get it down to about 22 psi, your fuel trim will be very close to stock injectors.
