I was wondering I bought my Del sol with a selvage title in Ohio and I'm done with college soon and I am moving back to new york. I was wondering do i have to get a salvage inspection in new york to get the car registered there? If so what does this entail and what do i need to do to get this done is there any special equipment that has to be on the car for instance my air bag module and sensors are removed from the car?

I already looked at the dmv and didn't find anything help full about changeling states wind they are closed so I asked maybe someone here would know by experance

 

They are open Monday through Friday. I'm sure you knew before yesterday that you were going to be moving.

 

Sometime DMV's have a crappy automated service..and you will be waiting forever on line, you best bet is to walk in and ask a quick question....

 

You will have to have the DMV inspect it.

They inspect it for any salvage titled non-new york title.

It is a very big hassle lol, I had to look into it when I was going to purchase a salvaged integra from arizona.

They like tear the car apart and inspect everything while looking for stolen parts is how they described it to me
