i got a clutch master fx500 4 puck unsprung clutch. on the street it never slips, but at the track with slicks it will slip some passes and not on other passes. is this normal for a 400hp car. i took the clutch off and it looked good. i did not see any bad heat spots or warpage.
could it be the pressure plate.

 

Does it slip more when heated up ? Clutch master adjusted correctly ?

i had my CC stage 4 clutch adjustment set too low. once i adjusted it up, problem solved. first time out, i tried pre loading, and the clutch started slipping...slipped the whole way down the track cause i got it too hot. next run i said f it, and dumped the clutch...grabbed hard, but started to slip at the top end. hope this helps...

 

did it stop.

because my clutch slips up top but looks like new when removed it. i dont want to buy a new clutch if its not the problem

btw stanley my car ran 7.5 1/8th with the clutch slipping
