Default SFWD Build ECU Question

I currently have an AEM Series one, but my friend just started parting out his build, and has an s300 I can get for cheap(it's my old one...)

I'm shooting for 950whp.

Currently on a PT6768 CEA, may be changing to a Precision GT4272.
LS/V, 85mm 11:1 JE's, bc625+ rods, Eagle crank, factory bored honda hg, ported b16 head, ferrea valvetrain, web cam vtec cams, GEM Intake mani, ID2000s, dual bosch 044, forward facing t4 mani, on 114 oct.

Which ECU would be better to run?

Because I don't know much about the series 1. If it was a series 2, I would have no doubt. But I know I've seen a lot of forums about people having issues with there series 1.

What you got for ignition?
Why did you replace the S300 with an AEM?
