Default Psi keeps getting lower on d16z6

Hey Guys!!
hope all is well! im new to the website just not to the honda game....

well i have a d16z6 in my 4dr eg.
its just a simple ebay setup nothing special. running on 440 rc injectors with a pharable base map chip i ordered. 7 psi waste gate.
i have a ram horn manifold and yeah..
well ever since i switched to my ram horn i am not getting full boost. i did have a waste gate gasket leak which i changed. i am running just straight down pipe at the moment because i am waiting for my exhaust to come in the mail.

here is what my car does.... im good for 7psi when i get on it ill get 4psi out of it and then it will drop down to 3psi till i get into higher rpms and then the boost gauge will jump all around up to 7psi no higher..i just dont get it.... im stumped..some times ill get only 3 psi and itll jump and sometimes ill get 4....

is my turbo going bad..? im not getting turbo smoke or oil leaking anywhere....

anything you guys got just let me know any little bit will help!
let me know if you need more info from me to diagnose this problem!!

thanks alot!!!

Last time my setup did this, the compressor wheel was out of balance and it was hitting the compressor housing and wouldnt let it build boost.

What do you mean same as me, shitty d16 turbo junk lol I'm not the OP

You should be able to create a new thread. Your problem looks like cracked piston ringlands. Do a compression and leakdown test

my bad, ive been tinkering with it all day and i figured theres got to be some honda heads that know what my problem could be. Compression check be my first route to go, also heard venting out my crankcase would be another way to go..

Depends how you have it set up. I don't think you need more ventilation you should already have enough. Do a compression test. Like I said its more then likely your ringlands

Can you give me a run threw on replacing that?

I have replaced everything on the motor externally, havent touched it internally, kinda building it backwards i guess.

Uhh no cracked ringlands would mean replacing the whole piston. I said ringlands not rings, its the part of the piston where the rings sit. Check my build thread if you want to see a pic of a cracked ringland

Yep that's what happend to me now I'm doing a full rebuild. Make sure you do a compression and leakdown test before you decide to pull your motor apart

Depends do it and post your numbers. You don't want a 10% variation in each cylinder

is my guess as well, the pressure is going in the crankcase, not all in the chamber

i'm also a member of the cracked ringland crew

this is a perfect example why not to purchase things for your car off ebay. Performance Cars is not a cheap hobby and it never will be, if you can't afford to buy decent parts from reputable sources, i suggest either finding a new hobby or you'll find yourself fixing things than actually driving.
