Default transmission rumbling from 1-2nd?

1999 EX automatic coupe. when i bought the car the engine light was on and it had no power... replaced $110 oxy sensor and that fixed that problem. trans shifted fine, real firm, but fine from 1st to 2nd... now it will rumble for a quick second when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear under normal driving... if i jam the throttle then it will shift kinda firm with less rumble/almost no rumble. i dunno if this has anything to do with it, but i did degrease/wash the engine compartment and let it dry for about 24 hours before driving the car again... like said i dunno if it has any relation. the check engine light did come back on tho while driving tonight, but im almost willing to bet its the misfire code and IAT code again... ill get it scanned when the parts store is open after work... is there a filter in the trans i can replace? does this sound like internal clutch slippage or maybe something else? thanks

it was just the dang catalyst bank 1 sensor 1 inefficiency code... i put some lucas transmission stop slip in there, seemed to help just a teeny tiny tad... still does it tho. moreso when the car is warmed up. the fluid was almost a brownish color which indicates burnt fluid... does it need a trans or would some fresh fluid help this car any? i dont want to put anymore money into it, im already too deep into it at $2,000 at this point.
