Engine Code 17 / VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) Problem
I've been having problems with my ITR under full throttle in first gear past 4-5k prm (and basically any other gear under full throttle at high RPMs) where by the car basically cuts off all throttle input until I let off the peddle for at least around a 1/4 to half a second. Basically, the check engine light comes on and then the car stops accerating, and as soon as I let off the gas for a 1/2 second, the engine light disappears and I'm running again with no problems.
I buddy of mine at an autocross helped me get my engine code (thanks miles) and it gives me a Problem Code 17 (AKA: VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor).
Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? I'd appreciate any advice you might have on the problem.
FYI: I have a hondata S100 dunno if that has anything to do with it, here are the rest of my mods engine and braking mods btw, I have no idea if any of it has anhything to do with the code but here it is anyways:

not sure how to fix it.. you could try to unplug/reset ecu and see if it comes back again..
if your car ever shut off due to low idle, it might throw random codes..

Doh, thanks for the tip. The car actually DOES stall under low idle sometimes -- esp. on startup.
I wonder if that might be a random code?

Well, the code says the VSS is either not working properly or is unplugged.
Did you check that yet?

Haha. If that's the same Miles you definitely went to the right guy to help look for electrical gremlins. LOL. VSS is a pretty brainless sensor, but it shouldn't cause many problems other than making the car run in limp home mode. Unless you're running an OBD 1 ECU. Something like that... but I'm not an ECU ***** so I dunno fo sho.
I'm mostly just wondering... did you tune the car in CA or did they just send you a program? Cuz there are a couple local hondata guys who might be able to help if it's a tuning problem. Maybe try running a stock ECU just to see. Your mods are extensive, but at least you don't have cams.
