99 EM1 interior lights, chimes, int and low wipers don't work
so the guy that had the car before said he was messing around with the dome light he said he accidentally touched the negative and positive light terminals together and after that both lights inside car never worked since, the slowest option on the windshield wiper does not work but the 2nd and 3rd do, and the buzzer that lets you know your headlights are on doesn't work anymore and when a door is open the car doesn't make that beeping sound anymore. car is stock except for the ecu, which is an original 2000 CTR ecu.
i checked all fuses theyre all good. what could the problem be?
im thinking a faulty wire or something..?
-buzzers dont work
-1st and slowest windshield wiper function doesnt work but other ones do
-and the lights inside the car dont work
all these things just stopped working when he was messing with the light.
Help Please!

when you say you checked the fuses...you mean under dash and under hood fuses?
how about the relays under the hood as well?
Id start with all those first, then go from there.

Then check each accessory to see if it's getting power and how much. If none are getting power find a service manual and diagnose for a bad Multiplex Control Unit (MICU). If the MICU is good then diagnose for a bad ECU.

Dearest gentlemen,
I'm truly sorry for my first post on this forum to be a revival of an almost-year old topic,
but this really helped today when I accidentally short-circuited a wrong connector today. More specifically I wanted to retrieve an ECU Check Engine code and I jumped the wrong connector - the Data Link Connector - instead of the Service Check Connector.
What happened was I heard a snap so I thought a fuse must have had gone, but I would never imagine that it'd be the interior light one.
I have a 94 Civic EX-S EJ1 instead so I had to cross-reference the fuses, but the symptoms were exactly the same: no intermittent wipers, no chime and no interior light (which I had left off and totally didn't pay attention to during daylight. Only found out it didn't work when I saw this topic. Haha).
So anyway I find that on the 92-95 Civics it's the #3 fuse, in the fuse box under the dash.
I just thought I should post this here in case anyone else suffers from this (took me a whole afternoon to figure it out) and needs a quick reference for the 92-95 models.
Thanks for the help, guys!
Best regards from Brazil.
