Removing Exterior Molding?
Ok, I searched. If you can find something for me in the search function, then please post it. After six months of searching I finally found all the black molding for my car. Now I think taking off the bottom trim pieces is simply unscrewing some screws(if there is anything else let me know), but how do I take off the thin door molding(the stuff that wraps all around the car and is suppose to prevent door dings.) Thanks in advance.

The molding has plastic clips about ever 6 inches. If you are not concerned with saving the clips, then just grap the molding and pull. When you get to a clip, take care in popping it out.
Other than that, its easy..

Ok, now I know that on some of the newer cars that you actually have to get those clips by removing the insides of the door panels. Is this necessary for the CRX?
My car's been missing a couple clips for the past year or so on the driver's side door. I hope I can order these cheap from Honda, cause I'd rather not pull the door panels off of a car in a junkyard. Once I get em, if I pull back the molding I should be able to slide them right in and push em into the holes right?

Try to save the clips...the dealer only sell the clips for the door mouldings but not for the fender and back panels. You have to buy em with the moldings and they're back ordered and expensive...40 bux per side I think...The quote I got for all new moldings was around $200 bux.
Those pieces are retained by metal clips that are not a lot of fun. You need to take the inner door panels off the compress them. This is also true for the ones behind the doors. If there is another way-I have no idea what it is. For the large (Si) pieces on the bottom of the door-those are equally simple-take the acorn nut off on the inner back edge of the door to loosen the metal retaining strip. You can then work the clips on the bottom of the door loose from the panel (be very careful as these things are very expensive and the panels go for serious $$$ too). Once the panel is off the long strip will be seen-it is retained by some clips that can be compressed with a tiny screwdriver (Helm actually shows this). You are correct that the rocker panel covers are screwed on-but you need to remove the one on the front fender first.
Good luck and remember that most of the pieces are readily available at your Honda dealer <BG> How do I know -I hwent thru this too

Next monday when I hit the boneyards, I will try and get as many clips as I can. Alot of the civics there have panels missing. So the clips are easy to get to.
If anyone needs any, hit me up.

I don't know what you're talking about with the metal clips. The center door mouldings (on my 89 at least), can be separated from the clips (the moulding comes off the clip and the clip stays in the door), just pull it off slowly. The clip is inside a plastic adapter which attaches the moulding. The adapters run inside a groove on the backside of the moulding. It doesn't do any damage to the moulding (if you're careful), and the clip assembly can then be taken out of the door by turning them 90 degrees (its really easy when you figure that out, but a pain in the *** if you don't. there is no need to compress them). Then you can replace the clips in the moulding by putting them in lengthwise and turning them (hard to explain, easy to figure out. This way you can reuse the existing clips if they're in ok condition). You'll know where to put them back because the groove in the back of the moulding will be deformed where the adapter was. Oh, yeah, take out the screw at the back of the door first. Just open the door and you'll see an acorn nut right behind the moulding. Unscrew that or you'll be in trouble. Hope this helps. PM me if you need more help.
BTW, how the hell are you trapping at 98mph on a b18a? You must have more mods than what your sig says. I/H/E b16a's are lucky to trap at that speed. Good job.

I need the pass. side door moulding(the door ding preventing one) if anyone has one that's in somewhat good condition with clips still there...let me know...
Good luck. It took me 6 months to finally find everything. I will keep my eye out. Is it for 88-89 or 90-91? Also, you can check the dealer, but it is much more expensive.
