Flushing and replacing all fluids in my car
I don't really want to pay jiffy lube to do it for me and I would like to know how to do it myself. I bought a 5speed 99 civic ek a month ago and everyone is telling me that I need to flush the fluids and change it. I got an oil change already so I wanted to know if anyone can tell me how to flush all the fluids and put new fluid in. So if anyone can give me a simple but informative step by step guide or a video it would be much appreciated! Thanks
well you should gotten a engine flush when you got a oil change, but a coolant & radiator flush can be done with a water hose & a bucket.... i do believe that there are some write ups on this site to do both.... check them out, use the search button
Oil is easy - we all know oil
Coolent is easy still - just remove bottom radiator hose or undo drain plug!
Power steering - remove resivor and refill
Brakes and clutch - use hand vacuum for lines
Gas - seafoam it! ! !
Greas is greas

Get a Haynes manual. Best manual ever. Theres step by step on all fluids.. For transmission fluid, you can either use differential fluid or engine oil. 5w-30
What bobby said. I recommend using 50/50 coolant to flush instead of water. Water and metal means rust..
