Starts then shuts right off
I have a 93 hatch with a fully built NA b16a2. I was driving and all the sudden the car shut off. Now it will start then shuts right off. The car only starts when the key returns to full off. If i start it and try after it dies in the second key position it wont start. I can hear fuel pump the i have a fuel gauge on fuel rail and its at 45lbs. I checked fuses. I unplugged battery for a night to reset ecu. Im not sure what else to check. Any help is greatly appreciated.
every sensor i can see is plugged in and visually in good condition. This project just got completed and i drove it about 150 miles. motor and trans are new rebuilds.

No offense but if it's fully built then the wiring on that car show match the quality of the motor work!

Sounds like a short to ground.
Check the wiring for your ignition system and fuel system.
How did it run when you got to drive? Is it fast? lol

This is my first Honda. a older lady took a left in front of my old car and totaled my 07 turbo zx4. My car was built from four cars in a month. The wiring is Shitty compaired to the car. Synapesturbo in ny built my motor and trans. The car was intended on a weekend warrior now its got to be my daily. I did get to take out a VW R32 and my two buddies d series turbos. by at least 7 cars off the line. my chipped and socketed ecu is stock settings and rev limits at 7400 currently. Im hoping Hondata or neptune will give me more. its rated to go to 9000. v tech kicks on at 4400 now. Im a fan of honda now. I will check all of these. thanks for the help.

I plan on rebuilding this JDM B16A I've had sitting in my basement for years now. Just never got my money to gather do so. I'm trying to help people with issues I may have when I rebuild my motor to learn and be prepared for anything. I had it swapped in my first car, but it ran so sh!ty. So i took it out to rebuild it like a BOSS. I've work at 2 Honda dealerships so I have experience. So not only does the community benefit from my presence, I benefit just as much. lol
Just lmk what your wiring is looking like.
